For beverage packaging buyers, rapid production depends on the full system: lid design, resin, cavity count, hot runner layout, cooling, ejection, machine tonnage, and automation. If one of these items is mismatched, a high-cavity coffee cup lid mould can still run slowly or produce inconsistent lids.

Cooling design is often the cycle-time limiter. The mould needs efficient cooling near the lid rim and functional details so the part can eject without deformation. Venting also matters because trapped air can create burns, weak edges, or incomplete features near the drinking hole and sealing area.
Coffee cup lids are judged by how they fit the cup. Samples should be tested with the buyer's actual cup, not only measured as loose parts. The review should include snap force, leak resistance, rim roundness, stack height, lid separation, drinking hole cleanliness, and deformation after cooling.
If the lid will be used for hot drinks, cold drinks, PP, PS, or another resin, those conditions should be confirmed before tooling. Material choice affects shrinkage, stiffness, surface finish, and the way the lid seals to the cup.
A useful RFQ includes lid drawings or samples, cup samples, resin grade, lid diameter, part weight, cavity target, injection machine data, automation plan, cycle target, and quality test requirements.
